Welcome to the 2012-13 school year at CCCS
Posted 08/17/2012 03:31PM

Cedar Creek Community School staff are very excited to start the 2012-13 school year. Join us at our Open House on Wednesday, August 29, 5:00-6:30 p.m. The CCCS PTO will be serving a hot dog supper for those interested in having a bite to eat ($3/plate). Make sure to pick up a 2012-13 school district calendar at the PTO table.

The first day of school is Tuesday, September 4, 2012. Fall pictures will take place on Friday, September 21. Bring your smiles!

There are a few changes this school year:

Our kindergarteners will be here every day, all day.

Our entire 4th grade will be taught using a program called STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math).

The CCCS staff look forward to these changes as we feel it is what is best for our students. It is always appreciated to have the support of our familes, so please feel free to let us know how we are doing.  If you have any questions about all day kindergarten or STEM program, don't hesitate to speak with your child's classroom teacher or Principal Darin Hahn.

Teacher assignment postcards will be mailed to grades 1-5 families on Friday, August 17. Kindergarten postcards will go out at a later date, as we may be adding another classroom. Our plan is to keep the kindergarten classrooms at no more than 20 students per classroom. We are very close to that target and may need to add another classroom.

SchoolView is the district's online communication portal used to provide parents the tool they need to manage and review student lunch account activity, review attendance, as well as monitor grades 4-5 homework assignments and grades.  If you are not enrolled, an Access Key will be given to your student's homeroom teacher for you to enroll.  We strongly encourage all families to enroll in this program.  If you have any questions, contact the office at CCCS.

If you are interested in receiving our monthly CCCS newsletter, you will want to subscribe to eNews.

If you are interested in volunteering at school, you need to fill out a Volunteer Background Check Form.
