Early Childhood Special Education
Welcome to my website! My name is Jae Anderson and I am an early intervention teacher with the St. Francis ISD #15 early childhood special education program located at the Lifelong Learning Center. I have worked for this program the last 20 years and have loved every minute of it! I do home visits for families who have children birth-3 years of age who have special needs. My focus is routines-based intervention and I work closely with parents to embed multiple learning opportunities into typical family daily routines. I help guide parents as they assist their children in their exploration and development and I model behavior for the parents.
Babies do not come with instruction manuals and when you add special needs into that mix it can be a maze! My hope is that I can help parents to better understand their child's development (strengths and needs) and to help them recognize their own role in promoting that development. Parents know their children best. That is why I include families as active members of each home visit. Families and caregivers receive information, support and training to help their children reach their fullest potential. I am committed to helping families and children reach their goals.
