Youth Teaching Youth Diversity
This program was developed with the U of M Extension program to help youth understand acceptance, diversity, positive choices and to promote positive interactions with their peers and community. High school students will be trained to present specified lesson plans to SFHS middle school students.
High schools students present in the 7th grade classroom once a month for approximately one hour. Lessons include understanding diversity, culture, respect, power and privilege and more. Through this opportunity, students gain a perspective that can create a positive chain reaction.
