It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I share with you information concerning a terrible accident involving students from St. Francis Area Schools. At 5:50 p.m. Tuesday, November 20, two St. Francis Middle School (SFMS) students were struck by a vehicle while crossing Highway 47 in St. Francis. Responders arrived to the scene within minutes and the students were airlifted from the scene. A crisis team will be at SFMS during the school day on Wednesday, November 21 to help students and staff process this news. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families at this time.
