Construction begins at SFES

SFES

Construction at St. Francis Elementary School started March 3, but exterior work will be delayed. The delay is due in part to the school district's desire to coordinate with the City of St. Francis and the Minnesota Department of Transportation regarding the its safety study of the Highway 47 corridor and how that may impact the proposed school district site plans, which includes a road connecting the middle school with the elementary school.

The $80M bond referendum was backed by voters in November 2017 for funding the safety, security, accessibility and educational space needs across the school district. All projects are planned with the resources from the referendum and will be completed by 2021.
