Maintenance is responsible for all the major fix and repair at any of the 10 buildings that the district operates. Areas include electrical, plumbing, heating and cooling, general repair of broken equipment excluding technology, and the contracting and supervision of contracted work that cannot be done in-house. The maintenance department also handles acceptance and delivery of larger drop/ship items ordered by schools.
Grounds is responsible for the appearance, maintenance, and cleanliness of grounds that include anything outside of the individual buildings to include mowing, plowing, trimming, outdoor fix and repair, playing field maintenance, irrigation, and fencing.
Custodians are responsible for the cleanliness of the inside and immediate outside of the buildings they are assigned. This also includes basic fix and repair of items within a building upon request of an individual teacher or the administration of the building.
The School Board of Independent School District 15 encourages the maximum use of school facilities by community groups and individuals as outlined in Policy 702. Refer to the facility use brochure for more information. Complete and submit a request to use school facilities form at least 10 business days prior to event.
